How RF Solutions Grew First-Time Purchases by 12.5% After Leaving Visualsoft

RF Solutions is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of high-performance radio frequency components - remote control, telemetry, and wireless communication systems.

They needed to move away from Visualsoft. The platform was limiting their ability to sell effectively. It made stock and pricing updates difficult, didn’t support how trade customers placed bulk orders, and couldn’t integrate properly with their internal MRP system, Efacs.

They approached us to manage a full replatform to BigCommerce. The goal was clear: build a more functional, scalable store that could handle complex product data, automate backend processes, and improve the buying experience for their B2B customers — all without losing their existing SEO performance.

What the Client Needed

RF Solutions had reached the limits of what Visualsoft could do. Product updates were slow, integration with their internal systems was limited, and the buying experience no longer reflected the needs of their customers.

They came to us with a clear set of objectives:

  • Migrate from Visualsoft to BigCommerce without losing SEO rankings or traffic

  • Redesign the product page to improve usability and functionality

  • Integrate BigCommerce with Efacs to automate stock and pricing updates

  • Add features that make it easier for trade customers to place and manage bulk orders

Building a Scalable, Customer-Focused Site for B2B

While some parts of the data migration were straightforward, others required manual handling due to the limitations of the Visualsoft platform. We made sure everything came across cleanly, preserving data integrity and site structure to protect SEO performance.

The new BigCommerce store was fully configured and designed to match the client’s goals. We installed essential third-party apps for shipping, reviews, and delivery countdowns, and developed a custom integration with Efacs to handle stock and pricing updates automatically.

We also introduced a series of improvements aimed at making the buying experience easier for B2B customers:

  • Real-time stock indicators using a simple traffic light system

  • Downloadable datasheets directly from the product page

  • A countdown timer to show delivery cut-off times

  • Clickable quantity selectors and tiered pricing for easier bulk ordering

  • Backorder support to capture sales even when stock is low

The framework was also set up to support 360-degree product images, a feature that’s already live and ready for wider rollout.

We built payment rules so certain payment methods, like Opayo, are automatically hidden for higher-value orders, keeping RF Solutions’ checkout in line with their internal processes.

Early Growth, Real Numbers

Now, just a couple of months after launch, RF Solutions is already seeing measurable improvements. First-time purchases are up 12.5% compared to the same period last year. Customers are adding nearly 40% more items to their carts, and the number of users starting checkout has jumped by almost 70%.

Compared to the previous quarter, total purchases have increased by 8.7% and revenue is up by 1.5%. On top of that, customer engagement is climbing, with over 26% of monthly users now returning weekly - a 30% increase.

These results show that the investment in a better platform and customer experience is already paying off.

Built for What’s Next

RF Solutions now have a site that’s not only faster and easier to manage, but one that’s designed specifically for the way their customers buy. The BigCommerce platform is scalable, the integrations are in place, and their team is no longer spending time on manual stock or pricing updates.

Features like trade pricing, bulk ordering tools, and automated stock syncing with Efacs are already delivering results. The 360-degree image functionality is ready to roll out as needed, and the tech stack is built to support new features without another rebuild.

If your current platform is limiting your growth, whether it’s Visualsoft or anything else, now’s the time to consider what a smarter setup could do for your business.
