Media Lounge Launch Estella Bartlett
We are pleased to announce that we’ve been working with Estella Bartlett, a fashion accessory eCommerce store that brings together a fabulous range of quintessentially British jewellery and accessory items under a virtual roof.
Estella Bartlett has been trading since 2011 and approached us with an already existing store but wanted to migrate over to the future-proof platform that is Magento 2 to help represent the elegance and beauty of their products alongside a frictionless user experience. Moving over to Magento 2 means that it allows customers to have a relaxed shopping experience.
Because Estella Bartlett already had a site up and running prior to use working with them, we wanted to elevate what was already there and use the existing site as a starting point, using it to help us understand what kind of feel and style they wanted for their new M2 store. When designing the site, we strived to create a fully responsive store that put the brand’s stunning product photography on show regardless of which device being used to view it. Everything from small mobile screens to widescreen desktop monitors, all the products should appear just as beautiful with exceptional clarity. The site is very image-focused so it was important for all images to look their best at all times.
The site contains a selection of great features which all create an easy to navigate stress-free user experiences. One of these includes an advanced search function where the user can begin typing the name of an item and the search bar will auto-complete to show the most relevant results while typing. Having this type of search feature means that customers are able to find what they’re looking for without having to navigate through the whole store manually.
The Estella Bartlett team wanted a way to inform their customers both new and old of all the latest trends and collections which have been released, which is why a ‘stories’ section was created. Having this single area where customers can discover new collections and visitors can see the full product ranges in a certain category avoids the need for them to manually search through the whole range of products Estella Bartlett has to offer.
When it comes to the more functional side of the site, there are tons of hidden features to make the store quick and easy to use. This includes having a dedicated image-based product page which makes browsing a lot more straightforward. Also, to keep the checkout process simple and user-focused, we have implemented OneStepCheckout which makes sure that while checking out, all of the necessary information is contained on one page. This is something we have used on numerous other eCommerce sites and we know it works wonderfully for boosting conversion rate.
